Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Designed primarily for toddlers, the Babyscapes series stimulates and educates small children with collages of images and music. Per its title, Babyscapes - Miracle of Mozart: Numbers and Shapes - the third volume in the series - helps youngsters identify shapes and numbers. The program sets several animated backdrops of shapes and numbers to music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in accord with the idea that Mozart is conducive to helping young minds learn. Each sequence appears with voice-over recitations on the soundtrack, which identify specific numbers and shapes aloud; the animated sequence and music are then repeated without the voice-overs, so that at-home viewers can do the recitations themselves. The animated sequences in this volume feature numbers affixed to parachutes and falling from the sky, and clay shapes pressed from a machine.
