Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Avec L'Assurance (With Assurance) is the story of enterprising young insurance agent Jean d'Abray (Saint-Granier). Unable to sell a single policy, Jean concocts a scheme to steal the jewels of a wealthy matron, whereupon she immediate insures the rest of her valuables. Pretty soon he's drawing up policies insuring his customers against practically everything, from blackmail to infidelity. Jean endangers his job by flirting with a spendthrift American girl (Jeanne Heibling), but he is saved from disaster by his faithful sweetheart Helen (Simone Rouviere). Supposedly set on the Riviera, Avec L'Assurance was largely shot in front of a projection screen at Paramount's Joinville studios.
