This intriguing documentary about Macedonians from Yugoslavia who have settled in Australia won first prize at the 1976 Belgrade Festival of Yugoslavian Documentaries and Short Films. Director Stole Popov travelled to Australia to hold interviews with the Macedonians now established in that country -- or in the process of assimilation. Aside from their individual successes against tough odds, they are seen to have sacrificed many of their native customs and in the case of younger generations, their language as well.
