Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Based on the true case of Francisco da Cost Rocha, who killed two women in a 10-year period, this chilling drama tells the fictional story of Antonio (Nuno Leal-Maia), who murders a prostitute in cold blood and then makes no effort to escape or to hide his crime. When he is picked up by the police it is a foregone conclusion that he will be convicted and sent to prison. Because of the nature of the system and because he behaved so well during his incarceration, the totally unrepentent, unfeeling Antonio is released after serving only eight years of a twenty-year sentence. Within two years, even after marrying and finding a decent job, Antonio repeats his earlier killing with the same absence of motivation or guilt.
