Synopsis by Sarah Ing

The Astronomers: A Window to Creation is a comprehensive and detailed look at modern scientists and their explorations of the universe. Divided into six parts, the presentation follows astronomers around the world as they strive to better understand the workings of space. From the mapping of the galaxy to the study of "cosmic background radiation," A Window to Creation covers a lot of territory. Japan plays host to Berkeley professors testing an experimental rocket that will record data. Elsewhere in the world, scholars from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics demonstrate progressive 3-D technology. For the layman astronomer, A Window to Creation delves into a plethora of topics: black holes, gravity waves, quasar, and the existence of planets in other solar systems. At the same time, the documentary offers a rare look at the faces behind such a lofty science.
