Documentary filmmaker Chad Herschberger charts the unprecedented events of the 2017 eSports World Championship, in which researchers unveiled a remarkable new Artificial Intelligence capable of contesting some of the world's highest-ranked players of DOTA 2, considered by many gamers to be one of the most challenging online games on the market. Despite some noted handicaps, including a one-on-one match for a traditionally five-on-five game, the AI effectively challenges its human counterpart to demonstrate the increasing sophistication of artificial intelligence.
