Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

This documentary chronicles the migration of European Jews to the South American country of Argentina. There, the immigrants struggled for survival and acceptance in a land with barriers of language and culture. But the Jewish people are hardy and adaptable, and soon made their adoptive country their own. From the gaucho cowboys in the Argeninian cattle country, to the hustle and bustle of big city life in Buenos Aires, the story of Argentina's Jews comes to life. Archival film footage, photographs, personal accounts, and commentary by historians tell this story of tenacity and perseverance.
