While there are still prints of most of the films Charley Chase made for Hal Roach, a few apparently no longer exist. This particular comedy is an especially sad loss, since the reviews of the day describe it as one of Chase's best efforts. Chase plays an editor of a "helping hand" column on a newspaper, and as part of his duties he decides to impersonate a man who is his double. It turns out that the guy is a crook, and he gets himself into a load of trouble. Along the way, Chase is forced to sing after accidentally taking alum, has a wild ride on a merry-go-round, and has a run-in with the crook's mother (Kate Bruce). He manages to make it through these adventures unscathed. Lorraine Eason, who is better known for her Western appearances than her work in comedies, is the girl and Polly Moran has a bit part.
