Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Prolific Greek filmmaker Kostas Karayiannis directed this taut action-thriller about a ship traveling to Asia loaded down with explosives, weapons, and ammunition. Kostas Karayiorgis plays a pirate who kills the captain and first mate, seizing control of the ship. The captain's widow (Deppie Sheldon) tries putting poison in the water tanks, but that only makes the crew abandon ship, leaving her to battle the pirate alone. An old screenwriting rule holds that if a writer shows a gun in the first act, that gun must be fired eventually. With a shipful of explosives, the climax of this one should be obvious, although it is no less exciting for its predictability. Nikos Verlekis and Yiorgos Christodoulou co-star.
