Synopsis by Tana Hobart
Directed by Cabanne, himself a graduate of Annapolis Naval Academy, this is a schmaltzy propaganda film aggrandizing the male bonding and "code of honor" adherent to the Academy plebes. Ostensibly the story of a love triangle, it is really a stereotyped tale of two friends who follow the "code" no matter what intervenes in their lives or what adversity they encounter.
