Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Barry Chung directed this standard Hong Kong youth drama about a teenage drag race enthusiast named Ming (Max Mok) who drives a delivery van for a triad-owned company to make ends meet. The film chronicles Ming's attempts to start his own company with some friends, a plan which gets them in trouble with a rival triad run by the sneering Rango (Alex Fong from the Angel series). Ming is also in love, and his starcrossed romance with the wealthy Maggie (Loletta Lee) brings him into opposition with her parents and prissy boyfriend, who deride the ragamuffin's criminal lifestyle. There are a few car chases and drag races to keep it lively, and fans of 1950s teen films from American-International Pictures might recognize a number of elements in this modern-day Asian update. Roy Chiao stands out as Maggie's father, and the cast also includes familiar faces like Ng Man-tat, Alex To, and Chen Kuan-tai.
