Synopsis by Hal Erickson

William Farnum's features never failed to pack 'em in, no matter what the plot. In American Methods, Farnum plays a French-American who heads to the land of his ancestors to take over an iron mine he's just inherited. The French locals resent Farnum's American manners and mores (things haven't changed much since 1917!), but he proves his worth by saving the mine from a cartel of crooked aristocrats. When diplomacy breaks down, Farnum relies on his fists, just as his fans hoped he would. American Methods was based on The Ironmaster, a novel by Georges Ohnet.
