Episode 13 (volume seven) of a 13-part documentary series produced for public television by WGBH Boston, American Experience: Vietnam - Legacies examines the legacies of the war in Vietnam. The persistent aftermath of the conflict is revealed through interviews, film archives, and testimony of Vietnam vets. They discuss the scars they edured both physically and mentally and trying to come to terms with a war they fought but didn't really understand why. Part of an Emmy award-winning series six years in the making, and "recognized immediately as a landmark" when first aired in 1983, Vietnam -- Legacies analyzes "the costs and consequences of this controversial war."
