Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith

The legends and mysterious locales of England, Scotland, and Ireland are explored during this first volume of a six-part series. Viewers have the chance to learn more about such legends as the one surrounding the Blarney Stone in Ireland that supposedly confers on those who kiss it the ability to flatter others with newfound eloquence. The many mysteries and alleged sightings of the Loch Ness monster in the Highlands of Scotland are also reviewed. Is this just a hoax as most assume or could it actually be a lone survivor of an otherwise extinct marine reptile group known as plesiosaurs? Also examined are the fascinating stones and ruins that are collectively known as Stonehenge. This archaeological site in England was apparently built in different stages and was used as a place of worship. However, many questions remain about its original purpose.
