Synopsis by Steve Blackburn
This documentary takes the viewer Down Under to Australia, the only country that is also an entire continent. The program explores the dramatic contrasts of the vast land, from the remote Alice Springs and the arid Outback, to the Daintree Forest, the Great Barrier Reef, and the thriving, modern coastal city of Sydney. Highlights include scenes featuring Aborigines, the people who have lived in the harsh expanses of Australia since prehistoric times. Also included is footage of the unique wildlife of the country, such as kangaroos, koala bears, and jumping crocodiles.
