Synopsis by Hal Erickson
British film fave Eve Balfour stars in All the World's a Stage as a popular theatrical personality named Lavender Lawn (isn't there a condominium by that name somewhere?) When her producer-patron is murdered, Lavender is framed for the crime. She takes refuge in the provinces, where she falls in love with a humble farm lad. Only he isn't a humble farm lad, but the son of a wealthy country squire. Threatened with arrest if she shows her face in public, Lavender contemplates breaking up her romance, but a last-minute confession from the genuine murderer saves the day. Leslie Howard Gordon, who costars in All the World's a Stage, adapted the screenplay from a novel by Herbert Everett.
