This documentary of the colorful Wally Hickel touches on every phase of his remaekable life. He began as an environmentally friendly businessman who not only was well-versed in Alaskan history, but felt he could find a balance of keeping the land safe while producing major profits that would help keep people eployed. He became a prominent figure in the Nixon administration, but was forced to resign from his position because he publicly opposed the ongoing war in Vietnam. He then returned to his favorite state where he successfully ran for public office.
