Synopsis by Alice Day
The terrible spectre of AIDS crosses all age lines, and AIDS: The Classroom Conflict focuses on educating children from an early age about this disease that has reached epidemic proportions in some countries. But questions are being raised about the age at which this education should begin and what they should be taught. This film touches on the issues of abstinence and safe sex, and suggests that when children are aware of these concerns they are better able to deal with the risk of AIDS when they reach adolescence and adulthood.
