The tragic tale of love between Egyptian leader Radames and radiant Ethiopian princess Aida makes the trip from the stage to the screen in this release of production starring Walter Fraccaro and Fiorenza Cedolins, and featuring the music of the Orchestra and Choir of the Theater of San Carlo, Naples performing under conductor Daniel Oren. Captured and forced into slavery by the Pharaoh's daughter - who is also in love with Radames - Aida is forced to choose between loyalty to her family and her lover when her father leads a violent Ethiopian invasion of Egypt.
