Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Writer/director Haobam Paban Kumar offers an incendiary account of civil disobedience in Manipur with this documentary exploring the protest of the easternmost Indian state's Armed Forces Special Power Act, 1958. When Th. Manorama Devi was brutally murdered in 2004, a wave of controversy erupted as local women cited that AFSPA, 1958 gave security forces too much power over the populace. As the residents of Manipur continued to protest the measure, the stage was set for a brutal backlash that would shock an entire nation.
