Synopsis by Steven Yoder
Adrienne is a documentary directed by Andy Ostroy. It tells the tragic story of Adrienne Shelly - actress, writer, and director who was often considered the muse of indie filmmaker Hal Hartley. Shelly was working on Waitress when she was tragically murdered in a burglary. Released posthumously, Waitress is, in her own words, an attempt to “Find what’s funny in what’s painful.” In doing so, the film became critically acclaimed.
