Writer/director Tyler Perry's thriller Acrimony considers whether a woman scorned is always validated in her anger. Taraji P. Henson plays Melinda, whose unfaithful husband (Lyriq Bent) of 18 years seemingly replaces her with a new fiancée (Crystle Steward) just as he finally finds success as an inventor. Enraged and unhinged, Melinda plots her elaborate, violent revenge.
