Synopsis by Jinko Labitag
Written and directed by Roy Andersson, About Endlessness is a movie that centers on human experience. As an intertwined couple float over the ruins of Cologne, another looks out over the distance, somber at the closing of the summer season. One man wakes up from a nightmare wherein he is dragging a cross through an alley while being tormented. A middle-aged Catholic priest decides to consult a psychologist as he comes to the realization that his faith in the Lord is slowly fading away. Back in time, in what would be Hitler’s last days, defeated Nazi soldiers resignedly walk into their prison.
