Synopsis by Alice Day
Many people are not quite sure how to interact with the disabled, and this program presents several performances by the Access to Comedy Players, who approach the subject with a light touch. All six members are comics, and they use their talents to present situations depicting the awkwardness that can arise when an abled person meets one who is disabled. Through the use of humor, they hope to diminish the uncomfortable feelings of misunderstanding and fear that are commonly experienced by the able-bodied. Able to Laugh is recommended for health care classes as well as corporate groups.
