In this film, anchor Ted Koppel offers another look at the White House tapes that were made as the Watergate story unraveled. Presidents were fully aware that recordings were being made, and were able to control which parts of conversations to record, so they could use them to their advantage. Koppel uses transcripts from the tapes in this show, and interviews George Lardner, who covered the proceedings during the scandal.
