This video is part of a PBS series, hosted by journalist Bill Moyers, that examines some of the key issues, people, and events of the 20th century. In this program, Moyers returns to his hometown to look at how social movements affect small-town life. Moyers interviews former Marshall resident James Farmer. Farmer, who was once the director of the Congress of Racial Equality, talks about the progress that has been made in civil rights for African-Americans.
