Synopsis by Hal Erickson
As indicated by its pun-ny title, the British anthology A Skirt Through History re-created famous events of the past as seen through the eyes of equally famous women. The cast included such formidable actresses as Anna Massey and Rosalie Crutchley, while the stories ran the gamut from Florence Nightingale's tireless activities during the Crimean War to the formative years of the Woman's Suffrage Movement. Six half-hour episodes were produced in all. A Skirt Through History originally aired in 1994 over the BBC2 service.
