A Sangre Fria translates as In Cold Blood, indication enough that this is no toe-tappin' musical. Amelia Bence plays a wealthy but enfeebled old lady, saddled with dastardly nephew Lopez Lagar. Enlisting the aid of Bence's far-from-faithful serving girl, Lagar methodically poisons his elderly aunt, hoping thereby to secure her fortune without being accused of murder. But the villain and his confederate are foiled in the proverbial nick of time. With few thrills and little suspense, A Sangre Fria must rely on a climactic (and gratuitous) chase sequence to keep the audience awake.
