This activist-themed documentary program espouses the proposition that social equality, economic opportunity and healthy cultural elements in society can be attained solely by exercising environmental responsibility - an approach christened 'A Passion for Sustainability.' It uses as a test case 14 businesses in Portland, Oregon, that undertook just such an approach and yet - remarkably - continued to maintain substantial economic growth on the side.
