Synopsis by Nathan Southern

As is the case with other volumes in the same series, A Newsreel History of the Third Reich, Vol. 10 does not present or intend to present Nazi history as it actually occurred, but Reich history as filtered through the deliberate bias of the Josef Goebbels/Ministry of Information propaganda machine; it thus offers a unique and singular view of how such information was strategically and distortedly presented to the German public. Volume six moves into the second half of the pivotal year 1941 - the year that witnessed the United States Armed Forces moving into the conflict and effectively turning the tide against the Nazis. Depicted events include: the Battles for Kovno in Lithuania; the artillery and aerial attack on Brest; the battle for Kiev on the Ukraine Front; and the Home Front events that witnessed volunteers from occupied lands teaming up with the Nazis against the Soviets.
