Synopsis by Nathan Southern

In lieu of presenting a factual and unbiased portrait of Nazi Germany during World War II, the series A Newsreel History of the Third Reich actually consists of distorted propaganda footage, shot and edited by the Nazis in such a way that it was intended to give German citizens a more glowing picture of the Reich's progress and development in the Second World War. The footage was collected by the Russians in 1945 and now appears, edited together, in this unique series. Volume 14 covers such events as: Montenegro-centered partisan fighting; the Stuka attacks and artillery fire on the Leningrad docks; the bombing of Krefeld; the U-boats' pursuit of merchant allied vessels and British subs; and much more.
