Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Written and directed by Lem Parker, a Selig Polyscope house director, this silent melodrama starred Harold Lockwood as an Annapolis cadet who rescues blond Kathlyn Williams from downing in the surf. They fall in love, but Kathlyn's mother has ambitions and forces her daughter to marry into nobility. When her husband (Henry Otto) is killed in a duel, Kathlyn and Harold reunite. Tom Santschi, who would prove so memorable opposite Miss Williams in The Spoilers less than a year later, played a small supporting roles here.
