Denzel Washington directs this drama based on the memoir by journalist Dana Canedy. Michael B. Jordan stars as Charles Monroe King, a sergeant who’s about to be deployed to Iraq to fight in the early 2000s war. He is in a relationship with Dana (Chanté Adams), and they recently had a newborn son named Jordan. Dana gifts Charles a journal notebook so he can write his musings and life lessons he wants to share with their son. Co-starring Tamara Tunie and Robert Wisdom.
