Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
Set on a humid day in Seoul, this slapstick unusually feminist oriented Korean comedy tells the story of a band of women who decide they have had quite enough patriarchal abuse and make a bold stand atop a high building. The situation begins as cruel husband again bludgeons his wife nearly to death. Terrified, she escapes into the street where other women attack the husband and kill him. Ten of these angry women then retire to the roof and hold a stand-off against the police. Soon the media arrives and a newswoman is allowed up to interview the angry femmes (one of whom is a transvestite). The story's broadcast starts a national wave of support from similarly abused women. Meanwhile, two male burglars are trapped inside the police-surrounded apartment building.
