Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Heiress Mary Worthington (Emmy Wehlen) finds herself at the mercy of Mark Arnold, a grasping guardian (Joseph Kilgour). He and his associates will go to prison if she doesn't sign a certain paper, and when she refuses, they lock her in her room. She gets out with the intention of seeing her actress friend Gloria Morning (Effie Conley). But Gloria, who is starring in an unsuccessful musical, is part of a press agent's scheme. The flack plans to have Robert Garrison (Jack Mulhall) kidnap Gloria to give the show publicity. But Garrison winds up with Mary instead of Gloria, which suits Mary just fine, since it gets her away from Arnold. She is taken to Garrison's cabin in the woods and -- as might be guessed -- love blooms. Arnold and his cohorts track Mary down with the intention of having her committed to an insane asylum, but they're firmly put to route by Garrison. This plot sounds like the makings of a cute comedy, but unfortunately its execution didn't live up to its potential.
