The sports documentary This Is What They Want focuses on the 1991 U.S. Open, where the nearly 40-year-old Jimmy Connors went on an odds-defying run all the way to the semi-finals of the major. The filmmakers use this historic tournament to explain how Connors and his contemporaries made tennis extremely popular in the United States during the beginning of the sport's Open era.
