Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Alexandre Arcady's thriller 24 Days is based on the real-life events that occurred to Ilan Halimi. Halimi was a Jewish salesman living in Paris when he was kidnapped by African immigrants who were known as the "Gang of Barbarians." They held him captive for more than three weeks, during which time they attempted to ransom him back to family. This event shocked the nation, and forced a national conversation about anti-Semitism.
