Pawel Chochlew's war drama 1939: Battle of Westerplatte focuses on the beginning of WWII. The main characters are a pair of Polish generals who witness firsthand the Nazi Blitzkrieg, and do their best to battle back even though they are hopelessly outnumbered. The brave soldiers must decide if they should give up the fight, or allow their entire ranks to be killed.
