Perhaps most famous as the person who invented the helium-filled balloons used in New York City's Thanksgiving Day parades, puppeteer Tony Sarg was also a pioneer in silent-era animation, producing 17 episodes of Tony Sarg's Almanac, of which only three are known to have survived.
