Tom Scherman designed models for several low-budget features. Scherman's first Hollywood job involved making up creatures for Ray Dennis Steckler's cult favorite Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Crazy Mixed-Up Zombies (1963). Scherman next worked as art director for Steckler's Thrill Killers (1965). Scherman built models for the famed softcore sci-fi parody Flesh Gordon (1972) and for Sam Raimi's Darkman (1990). In addition to movie work, Scherman created models for many television commercials and designed the interior of the Nautilus for Euro Disney.
