Songwriter and television producer Theodore Fetter's most popular song was "Taking a Chance on Love." He wrote it for the 1940 Broadway hit musical Cabin in the Sky. Later, Fetter became a television producer and was behind television's Your Hit Parade in the early '50s. In 1956, Fetter took charge as the national director of programs for the ABC network. He remained in that position until his retirement in 1968.
