Known for her role on the second season of MTV's long-running reality television series (which was set in Los Angeles), Tami Akbar was responsible for several milestones in Real World history, including but not limited to wiring shut her own jaw, playing a key role in the ousting of a fellow roommate, and allowing the cameras to follow her struggle to come to terms with the decision to terminate an unexpected pregnancy. Akbar later became an actress, guest starring in numerous television series, such as Married...With Children (1993), as well as taking on a recurring role on the vampire detective series Moonlight (2007).
