Television producer and owner of the Dragnet television series franchise, Stanley Meyer was actually a historic figure in U.S. and world history, albeit an obscure figure. During World War II, Meyer was an intelligence officer and was responsible for setting the stage for President Harry S. Truman's signing of the United Nations Charter. He also worked with Nelson Rockefeller in procuring and assisting various Latin American countries in the signing of the charter. Meyer died in late 1999, at the age of 85.
