Biography by AllMovie

A tall, often bearded, stunt man/supporting player in silent Westerns and serials, Charles "Slim" Cole was famous for racing his motorcycle at dangerous speeds across the Cahuenga Pass to Universal City and for allegedly breaking the nose of producer Sam Warner, an injury that indirectly led to the producer's early death. Cole, who memorably shared the unemployment line with Charles Chaplin in A Dog's Life (1918), was last seen in the 1932 Lon Chaney Jr. serial The Last Frontier.
