Fans of the early-'70s PBS Masterpiece Theatre saga Upstairs Downstairs will recognize British actor Simon Williams for playing Captain James Bellamy. Williams made his first film appearance in The Blood on Satan's Claw (1971). Williams is primarily a supporting actor and left films in 1984, only to return in 1997 to appear in the Chinese production Yapian Zhanzheng (The Opium War). Williams is the son of actors Hugh Williams and Margaret Vyner.
