Born in Italy but raised in France since the age of four, supporting and leading actor Serge Reggiani's prolific film career spans five decades. Often appearing in international productions, he made his film debut in Etoile sans Lumiere (1946). He went on to specialize in tragic roles. Highlights of his career include Casque D'Or (Golden Helmet) (1952), Le Doulos (1962), and Vincent, François, Paul et les Autres (1974). Reggiani was also a popular singer during the 1960s.
