Film editor Roland Gross began his career in 1931 as an assistant editor at RKO. In 1943, he became a full-fledged editor on the film Flight for Freedom. The following year Gross earned an Oscar for working on None But the Lonely Heart. He continued working for RKO through 1955, when he began focusing his energy editing and supervising television series such as Gunsmoke, The Twilight Zone and Lost in Space.
