French producer Pierre Braunberger began his career as a 17-year-old actor. Three years later he became a producer. During his 30-plus year career, Braunberger has had a tremendous influence on the development of French cinema and has worked with many of France's greatest directors. As a producer, he is known for his rare ability to mediate between a director's vision and commercial accessibility to create artistic films that appeal to mainstream audiences.
