A venerable English stage actor who billed himself an "elocutionary entertainer," gray-haired Percy Challenger entered films with the American Triangle company in 1915 and later played top supporting roles in such films as Erich Von Stroheim's Blind Husbands (1919; as the Man from "Home"), Wild Honey (1924), and The Sky Hawk (1930). Despite his long career on the legitimate stage, Challenger left films at the advent of sound.
