Noted Polish filmmaker Kazimierz Kutz got his start working with Wajda and Kawalerowicz in the late '50s following graduation from the Lodz film school. Making his solo directorial debut in 1959 with Cross of Valor he has gone on to direct a number of distinguished films that represent a wide variety of genres.
